Just like a regular manicure, two coats of the gel polish is painted over a base coat and finished with a fourth layer of top coat, but with each layer applied, the polish is dried off by the UV lamp, making it virtually indestructible. . In this fast-paced world where time is money, a quick service like this that gives you longwearing nails are a sought-after rarity.
There are a lot of salons offering gel-based manicures and many brands are on their way to releasing their own line of gel nail polish to keep up with demand. Applying this special polish, however, requires the services of a professional, which makes it more expensive than your average manicure.
